Commercial Break -By Dan dos Santos

Commercial Break

-By Dan dos Santos

I just got home moments ago, after a very long trip back from Kansas City where I was attending Spectrum Fantastic Art Live! The event was absolutely amazing, but more on that later. I can barely manage to keep my eyes open right now, and writing a recap of the event in my current condition would NOT do it justice.

So instead, I am going to leave you all with a beautiful little film by Tatsuyuki Tanaka. Tanaka is a Japanese artist, well known for his art book ‘Cannabis Works’.

I own an unhealthy amount of art books, and whenever a friend browses through my collection looking for something new, I almost immediately hand them my copy of ‘Cannabis Works’. It’s an absolute gem of a book, and is easily one of my favorites out of a thousand. If you can manage to snag a copy, I highlyrecommend it. In it, you’ll find concept art from the film above, as well hundreds of other amazing works of art, like the one below.

Honeybees, drawn in PS. Someone asked why lions, and I have a list, but it’s a big list. Go google lions in mythology. :3

The real question is why NOT lions. xD
But seriously, has anyone done a fan art of naked castiel covered in bees on the impala?
That’s all I could think of when Dean described it to Sam, “Oh boy, the fan artists are going to have fun with THAT.” xD
